"I'll show you all the skills I've got," said Jung Woo Young

Jung Woo-young (Woonion Berlin), who re-elected to the national soccer team, expressed his ambition, saying, "I want to contribute to the victory by using all my abilities."

The national soccer team, led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, will play Kuwait in Group B of the third Asian qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA North-China World Cup at Jabeur Al Ahmed International Stadium in Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait, at 11 p.m. on the 14th (Korea time).

Prior to the training, Jung Woo-young met with reporters and expressed his determination to play in two consecutive away games in the Middle East.

This summer, Jung Woo-young has been increasing his playing time since leaving Stuttgart on loan to Berlin.

He is playing in the Bundesliga of German professional football under the love of coach Bosbenson, who coached Lee Jae-sung (Mainz) in the past.

"It's been such a long time since (the national soccer team) came here that it feels new and nervous. I think we need to quickly figure out what kind of soccer style the coach is pursuing so that he can contribute to the team," he added.

Asked what kind of conversation he had with Hong, he said, "I've never met him before, but he seems to be very quiet. He's still very playful. He certainly seems charismatic."

"Because coach Svensson believed in me, my playing time increased a lot compared to my previous team," Jung said of his team Berlin. "I gained a lot of confidence and was able to show good performances. I am happily participating in games consistently."

"The Berlin team's tendency is to focus on defense and then attack. I think the coach highly appreciated the defensive and offensive positions."

Jung Woo-young, who returned, quickly melted into the team and is preparing for the match against Kuwait.
